Dr. Bailey received his PhD from the University of Kansas and is currently Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Florida State University where he was a member of the graduate faculty for 38-years and produced a record 63 PhDs. He is currently Director of the FSU Panama City Masters Program in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Dr. Bailey has published over 100 peer-reviewed research articles, is a past editor of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, and is co-author of Research Methods in Applied Behavior Analysis, How Dogs Learn, Ethics for Behavior Analysts, 2nd Expanded Edition, How to Think Like a Behavior Analyst, and 25 Essential Skills and Strategies for Professional Behavior Analysts, all co-authored with Dr. Mary Burch.

Special Learning hosted a unique 2-hour virtual book launch for Dr. Jon Bailey, BCBA-D, the world’s foremost expert on ethics in the field of behavior analysis. Dr. Jon Bailey will discuss his new book “The RBTs™ Ethics Code: Mastering the BACB© Ethical Requirements for Registered Behavior Technicians™”. This was a unique opportunity to seek the advice of the leading BCBA-D in the area of ethics. During the session, Dr. Bailey answered questions on a wide range of topics regarding ethical dilemmas as well as questions and ethical scenarios requested by the audience. The 2-hour event aimed at identifying the ethical issues that an RBT’s™ often faces out in the field, understanding the RBT™ Code of Ethics as well as conflict resolution once issues are identified.
