Overview:
In this session, we will explore the renewal-mitigation procedure for 7 participants diagnosed with avoidance/restricted food intake disorder, when the intervention is transferred from therapist to caregiver, from clinic to the home and changes the foods the feeder presented. Although researchers have demonstrated the effectiveness of escape extinction for decreasing inappropriate mealtime behavior in clinical setting, less is known about the generalization and long-term maintenance of escape extinction in other contexts.
