Included expert training
Transition Survival 104: Vocational Topics and Job Coaching
Michele LaMarche examines matching a job to a person’s interests, strengths, communication and support needs. She discusses hands-on assessment, asking for help or breaks, preparing and practicing in the actual workplace, and supporting supervisors and coworkers. Recorded examples examine changes to tasks, breaks and employee control. Research, service descriptions and employment models reflect the recording’s context.
Video Modeling and Video Prompting as a Treatment Intervention
Michele LaMarche distinguishes basic video modeling, self-modeling, point-of-view modeling and video prompting. Her examples compare watching a complete model with watching and practicing one task step at a time. Filming discussions examine camera angle, task sequence, the actual setting and opportunities for practice. The recording uses older devices and research examples; it does not establish current clinical effectiveness or guarantee independent performance.
